Hi, I’m Adena Jenkins! I’m a Christian wife, a mother of 4 and I have two adorable Frenchies! I am the founder of the Houston Texas Book Club! I started this book club 8 years ago after reading a book that changed my life. “Only The Strong Thrive” author, April H. Collins. I invited other ladies to read this book and it became a source of healing. My desire is that this Book Club will change your life. I love encouraging, uplifting inspiring, empowering and making an impact on women of all ages. I enjoy reading books that help to renew the mind, promote self-care, aid in mental health, practice love, kindness, forgiveness of self and others, helping women to grow in Christ, draw near to God and to carry out His perfect will.

The Houston Texas Book Club is inviting children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends to discover the joy of reading; ages toddler to 8. "My Cartoon Imagination at the Hospital" Samara gets hurt and is scared to go to the hospital. Then her mother reminds her to use her imagination, and suddenly the people around her become friendly cartoon animals in scrubs!
The author is a registered nurse with 20+ years of emergency department experience and a U.S. Air Force veteran. She dedicates the book to sick children in hospitals around the world. One teacher said her students related the story to their own experiences of being sick or hurt.
